The Performance Lab® Phases

  • Phase 1: Able to complete with hands at the side in a controlled manner the one-leg stand on the balance board with the “half-round” underneath for 15 seconds each leg.
  • Phase 2: Able to complete with hands at side in a controlled manner the one-leg stand on the balance board with wobble pad underneath for 15 seconds each leg.
  • Phase 3: Able to complete with hands at side in a controlled manner the hover of the balance board with “half-round” underneath for 10 seconds without allowing any touches of the board on the ground.
  • Phase 4: Able to complete the balancing of the board on the “half-round” while sitting on the board with feet and hands raised off the ground for 15 seconds. To be done in a controlled manner with no sides of board touching ground.
  • Phase 5: Able to complete balancing of the board on the cylinder while sitting on the board with feet and hands raised off the ground for 15 seconds. To be done in a controlled manner with no sides of board touching ground.
  • Phase 6: Able to complete in the plank position, 3-point positions with both a hand raised off ground and then a leg raised. Completion is done when able to hold each of the four positions for 10 seconds under full control.
  • Phase 7: Able to complete in the plank position, the 3-point position with one leg raised into air while hands are on the balance board with “half-round” underneath. Completion is done when able to hold 10 seconds without board going off to side or hips rolling up and control is maintained.
  • Phase 8: Able to complete in the plank position, the 3-point position with one leg raised into air while hands are on the balance board with cylinder underneath. Completion is done when able to hold 10 seconds with stability and control with each leg raised.
